[ru.wikipedia.org]Вардзиа Вардзиа — пещерный монастырский комплекс XII—XIII веков на юге Грузии, в Джавахетии. Выдающийся памятник средневекового грузинского зодчества. Расположен в Аспиндзском районе провинции Самцхе-Джавахети, в долине реки Кура (Мтквари), примерно в 70 км к югу от города Боржоми, вблизи одноименного села. У грузин это "монастырскый комплекс" 12-13 вв!!! Объектов в Каппадокии много - Гёреме откровенно называют пещерными монастырями (из-за настенных фресок)), Учхисар - наземным поселением и т.п. Уникальность и своеобразие гробниц можно объяснить тем, что у народов Ликии существовал обычай хоронить мёртвых на возвышенных местах, так как предполагалось, что это поможет им попасть на небо. Являясь одним из крупных городов Ликии, Мира, со времени Феодосия II, была её столицей. В III—II веках до н. э. она получила право чеканить монеты (в этот период Мира входила в Ликийский союз). Упадок наступил в VII в., когда город подвергся разрушению в ходе набегов арабов, а также затоплению грязями реки Мирос. "Монастырём" это дело быть не может - во временные рамки ТИ никак не вписывается - назовём их Гробницами!!! А так как их до хрена - значит был Обычай!!!!))))) Или историки полагают, что бронзовыми трубочками с песочком проходы сверлили ? "В III—II веках до н. э. она получила право чеканить монеты (в этот период Мира входила в Ликийский союз)." -- Чеканили(!), наверно, каменными или бронзовыми молотами ?
