If you trace the root of the word "Egypt" it will lead to the Greek word Aegyptos pronounced: Agheegooptos which translates into BURNT FACE PEOPLE. So, the land was apparently renamed by alabaster based pale foreigners and yet today "Egypt" is an accepted name used for this land by the indigenous people.
